Daily maintenance of agricultural tractors
Jun. 18, 2024
After a certain period of operation, the tractor will inevitably loosen the connecting parts and wear, corrosion, fatigue, aging and debris blockage of the parts due to changes in operation, friction, vibration and load, resulting in a decrease in locomotive horsepower, increased fuel consumption, reduced work efficiency, and imbalance or even damage of various parts. In order to keep the locomotive in a good technical state and extend its service life, it is necessary to promptly inspect, clean, lubricate, tighten, adjust or replace the various parts of the locomotive.
1. Regularly check the technical status of the front wheel alignment and steering device
Regularly checking and adjusting the front wheel alignment, front wheel bearing clearance and steering device is an important measure to reduce tire wear and deformation and damage of running parts. It should be checked according to the required values of different types of farm tractors and adjusted when necessary. In particular, special attention should be paid to the front wheel toe, front wheel bearing clearance, steering knuckle spindle fixing nut and tie rod fixing nut.
2. Strictly follow the operating procedures
Starting should be smooth. Drive at a low speed in the field and on uneven roads. Do not overtake the ridges, ditches and high-speed sharp turns at high speed. Keep driving at a medium speed during transportation operations and avoid emergency braking as much as possible. Choose the appropriate gear according to the load size, and do not often overload the tractor.

3. Maintain normal tire pressure and track tightness
If the air pressure is too high, the buffering effect will be weakened, the green mountain tractor will vibrate more, and it will easily damage the machine parts and cause driver fatigue. When the air pressure is high during field operations, the adhesion performance will deteriorate, which will increase the sinking amount and rolling resistance. Excessive air pressure may even cause the inner tube to burst when it encounters impact. If the air pressure is too low, the tire will deform greatly, increase the driving resistance, and make the tire heat up, accelerate aging and damage. The tire pressure should be adjusted appropriately according to the season, temperature and operating conditions. If the crawler tractor's track is too tight or too loose, the track plate and wheels will wear faster. In severe cases, derailment and jamming will occur, causing damage to the machine parts.
4. Pay attention to daily inspection and maintenance, and keep all parts clean
Frequently check the tightness of wheel hub bolts, nuts, cotter pins and other parts to keep them tight and reliable. Regularly add grease to the swing shaft sleeve, front wheel axle and steering knuckle.
