Need Wire Mesh That Offers Strength and Security? Consider Pre ...
Do you have an asset, like a home, a commercial property, or an art installation that you would like to protect, or do you need to keep someone or something confined for security purposes? Then stainless steel mesh can help. Stainless steel is already strong on its own, but the weave of a mesh can give it increased strength and security.

One of the strongest weaves is the pre-crimp. The crimps stabilize the wire cloth, which keeps the wire from moving. The result is a rigid cloth that will resist bending under pressure. At Lawrence Sintered Metals, we offer pre-crimped stainless steel mesh in a variety of sizes. We can make it small enough to keep insects and critters out of your home or large enough for law enforcement and animal control purposes.

Generally it has 4 types of weaving:
Intermediate Crimp: In this weaving technique, the wires are crimped in a way that the crimps are not as deep as in other crimp styles. This results in a mesh with a relatively smooth surface and a tight weave, making it suitable for applications where a high level of filtration or a smooth appearance is desired.
Flat Top Weave: This weave style features a flat top surface, achieved by weaving the wires in a manner that keeps them parallel to each other. This creates a mesh with a smooth, flat appearance, making it ideal for architectural and decorative applications where aesthetics are important.

Double Crimp Weave: In this weave, the wires are crimped in both directions, creating a mesh with a tight weave and high stability. This weave style is often used in heavy-duty applications where strength and durability are crucial, such as in security screens and fencing.
Lock Crimp Weave: This weave style involves crimping the wires in such a way that they interlock with each other, creating a tight and secure mesh. Lock crimp weave is known for its high tensile strength and stability, making it suitable for applications requiring a strong and durable mesh, such as in mining, construction, and industrial settings.
Applications
Pre-crimped mesh is used in the waste water, mining, construction, security and food processing industries for applications requiring strength and large pore filtration and screening. Pre-crimped mesh is also used in architectural design applications.
